  If you're looking for Mexican food at a reasonable price with good portions, Mex-Am is the place to go. However, I'm only able to give the 4 out of 5 stars simply because there are other Mexican themed restaurants in the area that are much better in as far as flavor. But, their pricing is higher and portions smaller than Mex-Am. We went on a Wednesday evening, it was pretty quiet, but most of the booths were full. The restaurant is a nice size, has plenty of tables and parking. When we were seating we were offered queso with our chips and it wasn't long before our chips, salsa, and drink order was at our table. The queso was good, the salsa was a little tomato-ee but not too bad. The oil probably needs to be changed, some of the chips tasted like oil. I ordered chicken fajitas and my husband ordered steak fajitas, both with flour tortillas. The portions were huge, the food was hot, and pretty tasty. You also get a plate with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, refried beans, and rice. There are 2 separate rooms, one is a bar and the other is an enclosed party area. The service was good, everyone was very nice. They also serve breakfast, will have to try one day soon.
